Misspelling of one track
[edit]Track 5 was until just now named in the article "Bamboo Forest". However, on all actual copies I've seen, the actual title is "Bambu"; I don't know if this was semi-literacy on someone's part, a typo, or the kind of deliberate misspelling rife throughout pop/rock music (see for instance The Beatles, The Monkees, The Tornados, or the way most Slade song titles were spelled), but the fact is (contrary to the AllMusic article cited) that this is the way the actual track is spelled on the actual media, and thus the "correct" spelling in this context, even though it's not the correct spelling in standard use. — Korax1214 (talk) 07:07, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Bambu
[edit]"Bambu" is the correct spelling for Bambu cigarette papers. These were quite popular in those days with people like jazz musicians who liked to roll their own. Not hard to imagine a musician imagining a Bambu forest . . . or a Bambu forest *fire*. I suppose you could (sic)-ify *all* the correctly spelled words, but that would be otiose. It was the seventies, man. You'd have to have been there.
- Thanks, I always wondered about that spelling! I'll add the first reference to the article. — Korax1214 (talk) 18:40, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
