Requested move
[edit]This page will need to be renamed. As from 1 October 2005, OFWAT will be known as "Water Services Regulation Authority".--Smiker 07:52, 15 September 2005 (UTC)
- Removed requested move because (a) the new name (and structure) will now not be in place until 1 April 2006 [1] and (b) the name change is uncontroversial and not impeded by technical difficulties, and therefore should simply be carried out, at the appropriate time. - I have removed the renaming task from the to-do list. At present there are no plans to rename Ofwat to the WSRA; instead, the WSRA is just replacing the role of the Director-General. "Ofwat" will continue to exist after 1st April 2006. RichF 15:10, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Are the water company links required?
[edit]I've been wondering whether it's necessary to have a list of the water companies on this page. I realise that Ofwat regulates the water companies, but perhaps there should be a separate page listing these companies, as with the list of US companies. Any thoughts? - You're quite right - a standalone list would be better. Rd232 talk 10:14, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
