1979 Booker Prize

The article states that the judges for the 1979 Booker opted to award the Prize to Offshore after a deadlock between A Bend In The River and Darkness Visible. This is supported by a reference to a Guardian article by Hilary Spurling who was one of the judges. However, Spurling's memory is clearly at fault as Darkness Visible was not nominated for the 1979 Booker. Tigerboy1966 21:57, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
