• "After he awoke, his mother send a letter to Widjojokoesoemo, who decided that Sidik's name was the cause of his misbehaviour." -- This begs the question, what does his name mean?

• Based on Zoetmulder's Dictionary of Old Javanese, "Shadow of Muhammad" or "Shadow of Muhammad". An interesting thing about the Javanese is that they believe that a name which shows a large expectation, such as "Little Prophet" here, it may cause trouble (generally the child will be ill). Have a source for the perceived causation of illness here, but I don't have a reference that it applied in this particular case. Perhaps a footnote that the Javanese believe a name can have negative effects on a child? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:53, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

• "Oerip and his wife were stationed in Ambarawa, where Oerip was tasked with rebuilding a previously disbanded unit." -- Any idea which unit?

• " In mid 1938, after a disagreement with the local regent when the latter was refused entry to an event celebrating the anniversary of Queen Wilhelmina's coronation, Oerip was told to transfer to Gombong; he refused, then left the KNIL and moved to his parents-in-law's home in Yogyakarta." -- Can this sentence be broken up? It's confusing, but it covers a very important part of the bio.

• Cause of disagreement put in a footnote. Better?

• "Disgusted with the government's perceived lack of trust in the military, he tendered his resignation." -- This will need some context. How did he feel the government didn't trust the military?

• Luckily I have much of that written already for a work in progress. I'll copy some of that over.

• "He was survived by his wife and adopted daughter." -- Does the article mention when he adopted this daughter?

• Article has "In 1940, the pair adopted a four-year-old Dutch girl named Abby from an orphanage in Semarang."

• Dup link tool has two results, both in the "Indonesian National Revolution and death" section: People's Security Army; and Semarang.
• To be fixed.
