[edit]I moved "Oden" from the See also section to te list, because the spelling is often used for Odin. This was reverted with the comment "That's OdIn". I am reinstating my change & asking for discussion. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:13, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- This is a disambiguation list. It's for articles with the word "Oden" in them. Odin is not such an article. Gerard von Hebel (talk) 00:19, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- I am trying avoid a situation where a person looking for Odin under the established alternative spelling "Oden" will be totally lost on English Wikipedia. Any constructive suggestions? --SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:22, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- I've never heard of this. Could you mean Woden? I know he's called that. Never heard him being called Oden. Odin is his name in Norse mythology, while non Norse Germanic, like English use Woden. Dutch Wodan, German Wotan etc... Gerard von Hebel (talk) 00:36, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry about the irritating behavior. I'm a pest. I know it... Gerard von Hebel (talk) 00:36, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, I gratefully accept your apology.
- If you type Odena, then Odenb, and so on, in WP search you'll see how many German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian & U.S. place names begin that way, almost all named for Odin. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:41, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
