[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Oddy test. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20081123123422/http://www.metmuseum.org/works_of_art/objects_conservation/spring_2003/oddy.asp to http://www.metmuseum.org/Works_of_Art/objects_conservation/spring_2003/oddy.asp
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Proposed merge with William Andrew Oddy
[edit]There isn't much to be said about the man but his test is apparently significant Sitush (talk) 08:56, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose: In addition to creating the Oddy test he has written some 300 articles/notes/etc. and has received significant recognition: the Forbes Prize by the IIC for one, not to mention that the Queen awarded him an OBE. If any indication of his relevance beyond the Oddy test is needed, there are some twenty Wikipedia articles that reference him (Elgin Marbles, Keum-boo, Sutton Hoo helmet, Fishpool Hoard, Shorwell helmet, 2002 Birthday Honours, List of dates in the history of conservation and restoration, Detachment of wall paintings, Silver and gold diadem from the tomb of Philip II, International Institute for Conservation, Conservation scientist, Experimental archaeometallurgy, Castle Rings, Wiltshire, Piranesi Vase, List of special publications of the Royal Numismatic Society, Wladimir Zwalf, Archaeology of Pemba Island, Roman Republican currency, Conservation-restoration of cultural heritage, Arsenical bronze). --Usernameuniqu (talk) 02:59, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. The expansion, albeit using the most obscure sources I think I have ever seen, seems to validate notability. Withdrawing the proposal. - Sitush (talk) 14:01, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
