Team Name

I was wondering if any information should be added about the school's Team Name. Originally they were known as the Coons, which was later renamed Cooney (Or Coonies/Cooney's/Coony's), and by late 2012 was renamed again to Raccoons. This was apparently done because the School Board felt the terms before Raccoons would draw negative connections to perceivable racism (Allegedly. I do not believe the School Board ever publicly revealed the reasons for the changes, but the alumni often criticize the changes during Homecoming Parades). Currently, the article just names the team as Raccoons, which what they currently go by. --Clonehunter1 (talk) 23:43, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
