How do hearing aids work?

[edit]

When I first put this query into Google., I was keen to know more about the physics, programming and logic of the aides. Prior to getting my current aides, I did quite a bit of investigation and hired an audiologist for around 3 months. I still suspect that there is quite a bit of baloney given out as many of his answers didn’t make sense and were contradictory. Now I have the aides I can’t fathom what is going on and want to know the pure science (and IT logic) operating with phone control and adjustment so I can understand for MYSELF what’s going on because the manufacturer’s blurb and the audiologist “trot out” answers are just not convincing. 2A00:23C4:9603:5501:4426:80A8:D429:32A5 (talk) 15:27, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2A00:23C4:9603:5501:4426:80A8:D429:32A5, a better place to ask would be the WP:Reference Desk. This is the Talk Page for the Occlusion effect article, and is not a forum for general discussion of the topic. casualdejekyll 15:29, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
