Content needs sourcing
[edit]Deleted paragraph about Bartolome de las Casas - he was active in the Caribbean, South America and Mexico, not the southeast United States. There is plenty of scholarly documentation about SE American Indians, but this article uses little of it. Needs more work.--Parkwells (talk) 18:57, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Lede
[edit]Should be shorter, two or three paragraphs, without so much history. It should acknowledge the multiracial character of the current tribes and lack of documentation for descent from historical Saponi or Occaneechi.--Parkwells (talk) 19:22, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Tomahittans
[edit]An IP editor added the following: "It is believed by some including linguist Dave Kaufman that the Tomahittans, were Siouan speakers, possibly the Biloxi. [1] Who are the Tomahittan supposed to be and how to do they related to the Occaneechi? At least provide a page number in the link PDF. Yuchitown (talk) 19:55, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
