Page organization
[edit]This page is poorly organized. It starts with the revolution, skips the civil war, goes to WWI, inserts the service badges and ends with WWI. It needs to be cleaned up.evrik 17:23, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- Its in two columns due to complaints long ago about reading the page and the layout format. With two columns, its far easier to see and easiewr on the browsers. A single, extremely long column can cause some browsers problems. I don't think a cleanup is really needed. -Husnock 18:25, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- I have no problems with two columns, but even with two columns, it doesn't read clearly.evrik 19:52, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Missing U.S. Army Nuclear Reactor Badges (it has several grades).
- Its on there. -Husnock 00:45, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Jungle Expert Badge
[edit]This article is missing this badge, which was awarded after a servicemember successfully completed a course then held in Panama.[1][2][3][4] 207.114.206.48 (talk) 13:38, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well feel free to add it. Sf46 (talk) 00:09, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
I wouldn't mind doing so but I don't believe that there is sufficient information out there to create an article to link the badge to. I understand that there are some articles which are less then a paragraph, but it should be given some justice, as it was an actual awardable badge. 207.114.206.48 (talk) 04:20, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- You could add a photo of the badge at least, if you have one. Sf46 (talk) 06:20, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Several missing badges
[edit]Several of the original pictures were deleted form the page as a result of someone off-site writing Wikipedia saying they were all stolen from "his website" which was in fact a cut and paste from several sources, mostly the IOH and Randolph Air Force Base. This same man claimed copyright to pictures of Colonel eagles and once tried to sue NPRC for having a training guide showing military rank insignia which he said had been stolen from his site. Anyway, this guy hasnt been active on Wikipedia for at least two years so perhaps a repair job is in order. I'll see if I can find some good images with hardcore sources so this kind of things doesnt happen again. I did notice that the World War II section has pretty much already been repaired. Thank you to whoever did that. -OberRanks (talk) 20:35, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Here is one of the entries made by the person who wanted all of these badge pictures deleted [5]. Is anyone aware if this user has an established account now on Wikipedia? -OberRanks (talk) 20:40, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
The website is also still active and can be found here. Lookly at the various images, most of them are taken from the Institute of Heraldry, the others from an old CD created in the 1990s by the awards branch at Randolph Air Force Base. However, the site owner claims these are his personal images; if anything from that website shows up on Wikipedia, there is likely to be trouble so any editor adding images to this page should avoid anything from that webpage. -OberRanks (talk) 20:46, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
