[edit]Just thought that it would seem that there were many things left out of this history like the different names of the village. I find at the German genealogy web site [1] That some of the names
German: Obrowatz Official: Obrovac Hungarian: Borócz, Obrovácz
and that the population
* 1921: 3,039 (1,850) * 1910: 2,930 (1,843) * 1880: 2,730 (1,504)
Also that
- Earliest Appearance in History: 1308
- Earliest German Settlement: After 1768
- Churches: Roman Catholic/Kalocsa diocese, Greek Orthodox/Bács diocese
- District: 6 - Palánka
What was life in Obrovac like back in the Early 1800's? What did the people do? What was the name of the church, Is it still standing? Is this all the information we have on this village?
Importance of images
[edit]Should we discuss impoprtance of 3 images? Article have a picture of whole Catholic church, so why separate images of steeple, sculpture and inscription are impoprtant? I think that 3 images are not of big importance. If somebody serch for them, he will find them in Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia Commons is image storage, Wikipedia is not.
