A lot of this information is not correct. The population is way off, as there are over 15,000 people in the Oakhurst Area and it says that the minority is white. That is so false. I would guess that close to 80-90% of the population is white. I put a link to the Oakhurst Home Page at OakhurstArea.com but it was removed. The Oakhurst Area site is much more accurate than this one and it should be linked, as well as oakhurstchamber.com Mathewsands 23:19, 14 April 2006 (UTC)mathewsandsMathewsands 23:19, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've recently updated the Oakhurst article to include data from the 2020 Census. In response to previous discussions regarding the town's racial and ethnic composition, I wanted to clarify that, according to the latest census, the majority of the population in Oakhurst is White, accounting for 87.8% of its residents. This information should help provide a clearer picture of the community's demographic makeup as of the latest census. Guywelch2000 (talk) 20:00, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Congressional District change

[edit]

For the 2022 election, California lost one district and restricted. As such, the district number covering this region has changed, and it is no longer the 5th district. 2601:640:C981:A970:556E:87E1:2B22:7456 (talk) 18:13, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Correction: it's no longer the 4th congressional District 2601:640:C981:A970:556E:87E1:2B22:7456 (talk) 18:15, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing this out. Oakhurst is now under the 5th district as a result of California redistricting. I have updated the page with citation. Guywelch2000 (talk) 20:08, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
