Plot
[edit]Cather's novels have very intricate plots and subplots. The summary is bound to be long, unless it is a botched job.Zigzig20s (talk) 19:21, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Two tender love stories emerge from the beautifully rugged Nebraska farmland: one blossoms from a longtime friendship, the other breaks marriage vows. O Pioneers! follows a close-knit group of Swedish immigrants trying to make a life in the difficult climates of a new country. This new opera artfully translates Willa Cather’s tragic and dramatic novel into a compelling live performance.
Come hear our own Gina Galati as Alexandra, Ann Hoyt as Marie, Robert Boldin as Carl, and Thomas Wazelle as Emil, along with David Dillard, Ian Greenlaw, Tom Sitzler, Joshua Stanton and Philip Touchette. Join the outstanding singers with the St. Louis Women’s Chorale and Dance Dimensions as they create musical magic under the direction of Mark Maier and conductor Scott Schoonover October 9 & 10. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.124.217.29 (talk) 21:02, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Literary Significance and Criticism
[edit]Hi, just to let everyone know, I separated the section "Literary Significance and Criticism" so that literary criticism stands on its own. From there, I added the whole section of text on criticism to the page and included the appropriate resources for what I said. Feel free to change anything or re-word it if necessary.--NoFace23 (talk) 07:27, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
