This article is still too close to the wording of the SEC website. It really needs to be rewritten.

Pink Sheets - Pink OTC Markets merge

A merge seems like a good idea. However, the Pink Sheets article should really be merged into the Pink OTC Markets article. Since the company has changed its name from Pink Sheets LLC, the term Pink Sheets now only refers to one of the four markets tiers into which OTC securities are classified by Pink OTC Markets. Much of the information in the Pink Sheets article is applicable to the company itself and all or one of the four market tiers, not the Pink Sheets tier in particular.Eliza16t (talk) 18:00, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

I've changed my mind a bit. Now I think it makes sense to have separate articles about the quotation system, the "Pink Sheets", and the company that operates it, "Pink OTC Markets". I've pruned the pink sheets article a bit to make this more clear. Both could still use some improvement though. The recent name changes are somewhat confusing, but I think it's important to clarify the distinctions. The electronic quotation system that was previously termed the "Pink Sheets" is now called "Pink Quote," although the change is recent and the old name is still commonly used to refer to the system. The "Pink Quote" system includes quotes for all four market tiers (OTCQX, OTCBB, Pink Sheets, and Grey Market), while "Pink Sheets" now refers to one of those tiers. Securities that do not meet the requirements for OTCQX are further categorized into disclosure categories (current information, limited information, no information, and caveat emptor). It's probably useful to keep the article title as Pink Sheets but mention the name change, or rename the article Pink Quote and direct users there from Pink Sheets. The merge flag has been readded, but the editor who added it has not given any reasons why he thinks the merge should happen. As the flag has been present for two months (Since No 2010) and no-one has commented for/against the merge and since this has been rejected in the past, I have removed the flag 87.113.14.116 (talk) 13:47, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

What happens to Grey Market stocks that cease trading?

Do brokers ever stop allowing transactions in stock trading through the Grey Market if they stop having volume for longer than a certain period of time? The Pink Sheets website says that Grey Market stocks are no longer displayed on that webpage if they do not have any volume for six months.
