Norse "Önd"

[edit]

I wonder if there should be any cultural tie in reference elsewhere with "önd", as had near the end of the "breathing" article with similar terms from other ethnic folk religions via their languages. With this I mean concerning the connection with "spirit" to "breath" as the Nordic word "önd" does. There is a similar connection through etymology elsewhere, for example of the Latin originating word spirit, the east Asian qi/chi, the Greek psyche the Hebrew nephesh & ruach, the Sanskrit ātman and very likely many more, have the meaning of both "spiritual essence" or "lifeforce", and "breath".
