• OFK Beograd is not an ordinary club

Football Club "OFK Beograd" is not an ordinary club, one of many who is searching for its plays on the immense football map. Football Club "OFK Beograd" is the way of life, eternal fairy tale about the fight between David and Goliatah, true love for the essence of play. . .

On the Youth Stadium they use to say in one sentence:Football Club "OFK Beograd" is boutique, everything else is a knitted fabrics. It is easy to root for Football Club "OFK Beograd", and much easier to like it. The "Romantics" hate, a tie results. During the decades they got used to all sorts of misfortune, they always wanted to know what they get. They accept the victories with dignity, and defeat without sadness. They despise only a tie results, because they don't like to be identical with somebody. Nobody could be like Football Club "OFK Beograd". Football Club "OFK Beograd" is unique.

F ootball Club "OFK Beograd" is the club who knows its plays on domestic scene from the beggining. It acknowleges the greatness and thier power as well as its ability to resist them in every fight with lower guard. Calculation is the word wich is permited only in front of ticket office where each money must be counted three times before it leaves club's strongbox with good excuse. On Karaburma, they are not longing for splendor. The "Romantics" know very well how much the glow blinds his own reflection in the mirror. It is only importante that they are with both feet on the ground. They like the security of his corner shaded by the greater clubs.

If it were different, and the "Romantics" were less realistic, trophy hall could be reacher than four Cups of Yugoslavia and two sighs from Vice Champion positions. From the beginning there was two much fear from the world of imagination on Old Karaburma.

However, everything changes, and Football Club "OFK Beograd" too. On Karaburma, some new winds started to blow except cold, sharp wind. Those are the winds of new era. The "Romantics" have finaly entered into the world of dreams. They let their imagination to draw the contours of the new Football Club "OFK Beograd" , to whom it has become boring to live miserable under the victorious throne. The idea of modern club who was injected the fresh blood of coming millenium was born. The construction of the club's centre, carefuly planing selection of players, vedetts who already carry "the blue flag", agressive marketing-these are only details on wich Football Club "OFK Beograd" is going to lead us into the new century.

The sixtieth and the beginning of seventieth are the time of Europian splendor. Football Club "OFK Beograd" had seven matches in international cups:for two times Winner Cups and Cup of fairtowns, and three times in UEFA Cup. Greatest succes was realised on the premiere coming into Europe, 1962/63. when, in semifinals, Totenhem confrontated, later on the winner of Winner Cups. In the same time , it was the first greater succes of Yugoslavien football on international stage, and in following ten years the blue-white concuered such forces as Napoli, Faynord, Panatenaikos, Dukla, Juventus. . . The "Romantics" in a fild, the romantics in a soul, the blue-white didn't succeed in using the movement of the great success in domestic and international scene. After the strong success came the sudden fall. Resting on there laurels, the "Romantics" began to fade away. Football Club "OFK Beograd" spent the eightieth in frequent moving between First and Secound league. On old Karaburma there was a little bit except old faded photographs to remain on the days of glory. As much as "golden time" lasted, so long quite fall lasted. Never the less, the tradition called for sobering up. In the ninetieth, Football Club "OFK Beograd" is slowly coming back to the old position. The standings on the fourth position-1992. and 1994., and attack of the boys from new "blue" wave, indicate the brilliante edition of the "Romantic" for 21. century.
