The "Spanish Road": Alsace is not shown, nor cessions in Italy

A map showing the string of Spanish Habsburg territories in 1617 would make a truly useful addition to this article:

• Duchy of Milan
  • Finale Ligure
  • Principality of Piombino
• Valtellina pass
• Free County of Burgundy
• Spanish Netherlands
• Scattered territories in Upper Alsace

A request can be made at Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Map workshop once the article is settled and the parameters are set. A good historical atlas would make a start.--Wetman (talk) 19:24, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

This map shows the eastern routes also. It's not PD though. Skäpperöd (talk) 21:54, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Here is another one. It does show the eastern route in the south, but not the Rhine route. As the one above, it only shows the state prior to the secession of the Dutch Republic, and does not indicate the territories en route very well. Habsburg possessions are in green, looks like the map shows the state as it was during Charles V's reign? Skäpperöd (talk) 22:14, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Frederick II

Hi there, great article. I'm translating it into Spanish but I've found a trouble in the final section of "Implementation and consequences". It says "The Bohemian estates had meanwhile turned against the Frederick II, and on 26 and 27 August 1619 elected Frederick V, Elector Palatine, leader of the Protestants in the Holy Roman Empire, as the new "winter king" of Bohemia." but... who is that Frederick II? I can't find any Frederick II related with Bohemia. Can anybody explain or is it a mistkae? Best regards, Rastrojo (talk) 21:43, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
