I have taken out the information that was copied from this website. It is cited as "an excerpt", but it is in fact the entire text of the page. There is no evidence that the author of the website (Tim Reilly, I assume) has licensed his work to be used here. ... discospinster talk 00:49, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Riley vs. O'Reilly
[edit]See also: Talk:Riley (surname). I see a revert war going on here between editors who want Riley (surname) to be incorporated into this article who want Riley to be a standalone article. Redirecting Riley (surname) to this article without supporting evidence appears on its face to be a violation of WP:Verifiability, which states "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and is satisfied by providing a citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution." Adding the material in Riley (surname) to this article thus would require supporting citations that Riley is always a variation of O'Reilly rather than an English surname of independent origin deserving of its own article.
