House Annex 1
[edit]I was thinking of adding this section
House Annex 1, located at 300 New Jersey avenue was the former Hotel Congressional [1], a vintage residential hotel that housed members, staff and congressionally focused individuals as well as visiting businessmen.
Built in 1948, it was purchased by the Congress in 1957 and used as overflow office space as well as an ongoing residential hotel. In 1972, it was renamed House Annex 1, and later the first O'Neill Office building.
In 2002, the building was condemned and torn down shortly after.
