[edit]I've restored the illustration of the green be-shamrock'd dumpster.
Ideally, I'd have taken and used a photo of the big shamrock at the downtown intersection. Unfortunately, I didn't think to bring my cherry-picker crane when I passed through O'Neill; and I'm only six feet tall, which isn't enough to give a good perspective on the Big Shamrock.
I disagree with the almost-vandalism assertion. Admittedly, a dumpster is a humble object. But there's nothing intrinsically dishonorable about one. In fact, it's an odd enough object to illustrate the point that O'Neill's Irish-heritage pride pops out in all sorts of places, not just the obvious ones.
And speaking of humble objects, we're talking about a state in which lots of people have Big Red toilet seats; but I'm pretty sure that they're not getting them because they want to denigrate the football team...

[edit]I was trying to find a reference to cite to show Thomas Kearns' relationship with the city of O'Neill. Please add this information if you have it available. Thank you--BuzyBody (talk) 21:47, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
What are you looking for with Thomas Kearns' (U.S Senator/Utah) relationship to O'Neill...? I may be able to steer you in the right direction... Michael Kearns — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.254.254 (talk) 07:11, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
I was also unable to find a reference to cite that shows Mike Johanns began his law practice in O'Neill. Please add this information if you have it available. Thank you--BuzyBody (talk) 21:56, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
