Request Edit for ambassador

[edit]
  • Please add to the end of the section, "Strike for Climate", the below sentence:
Not done for now: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Shadow311 (talk) 21:48, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Shadow311: Thanks for the update. I've updated what should be added below.
  • At the end of the Strike for Climate section, please add the following setence:
  • "On January 16, 2004, Morris became the ambassador for the upcoming Green Vision Summit & Expo (GVSE). Morris will represent the GSE and GVSE brands in Uganda and neighbouring African countries."[1] Greg Henderson (talk) 21:36, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request - founder of Earth Volunteers

[edit]
  • Please add the following section to the article after the end of the Strike for Climate section.

Earth Volunteers

[edit]

Earth Volunteers is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2020 by Morris to unite young people who are passionate about planting trees, protecting forests, and standing up for climate justice. By 2020, the group helped to plant 25,000 trees, worked with over 14 schools, and restocked four existing forests and woodlands that have been depleted.[1]

Not done: The way it is proposed would not be suitable as it is worded in a promotional manner. Outside of that, I was willing to rewrite it to comply with guidelines but cannot find a suitable secondary source that is independent to support. CNMall41 (talk) 23:39, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CNMall41: Thanks for looking into this. Here is a rewrite to comply with guidelines:

Earth Volunteers is a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 by Morris to bring together young individuals who are enthusiastic about advocating for climate justice. Since its inception, the group has facilitated impactful projects like a Climate School and Tree Planting.[1][2]

Not done: The first reference is not independent. The second reference does NOT say he founded it and does not state the year it was founded. It says he is the CEO which is something already on the page. CNMall41 (talk) 22:00, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@CNMall41: I have revised the text using a secondary source.

"Earth Volunteers is a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 by Morris with the aim of uniting young people to facilitate impactful projects such as the Climate School Initiative and Tree Planting. Earth Volunteers has provided climate change books to 13 shcools and intends to translate them into various local languages.[1] Greg Henderson (talk) 16:07, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Thanks for the ping. I looked at the source and unfortunately do not see it as being reliable. There is no editorial oversight listed or even an about page. The article also seems to be a promotional piece written in collaboration to promote the subject. Of course, you are welcome to get other opinions here but I would not be inclined to add it.
