[edit]can me merge this article into Roberts and Barrand#Nowell Sing We Clear instead of a separate page? --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 10:23, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Nowell Sing We Clear is the name of the performances, the name of the first album, and also the name of the four-member musical act. The record company lists them as a distinct group from Roberts and Barrand and John Roberts solo work.
Better detail in the into will make this clearer, although I may not get to it until this weekend. —MJBurrage • TALK • 10:41, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I must be tired because I am so confused now. Please do make a better intro, because as it stands now it is very confusing to someone who knows nothing of this like me. Thanks --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 11:35, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
This is a musical group
[edit]So should it be listed as Nowell Sing We Clear (musical group), instead of Nowell Sing We Clear? --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 12:00, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Or maybe Nowell Sing We Clear (musical ensemble)? --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 12:07, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I was under the impression that you only add a parenthetical note if there is another topic worthy of a page with which there could be some confusion. So if one were to make a separate page for the self-titled album it would be called Nowell Sing We Clear (album) (may or may not be notable enough on its own) and a page on the concert series would be called Nowell Sing We Clear (performance) (or something similar, again if there was enough notable material for an article separate from the groups existing article).
Compare to The Beatles and The Beatles (album). —MJBurrage • TALK • 15:57, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- You may just be correct on this. I am not sure and tried finding something on it. So I will just ignore it. It was that it was confusing to me. I am still a newbie around here. And thanks for letting me on to them. I listened to a few of their recordings and I can see why they have had a big following. --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 16:36, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, my first pass was pretty unclear, and your comments got it improved faster than I would have done it alone :-)
- By the way their 2007 schedule is posted online. —MJBurrage • TALK • 17:10, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Confused
[edit]Is this an article about a group, an event or an album? And if it's any of those, would be be possible to clarify it, please, as at the moment it just looks like an unreferenced list of Christmas carols performed some years ago. Rob (talk) 00:54, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- It is a list of albums under the Nowell Sing We Clear performance rubric. It is a current endeavor. Fantailfan (talk) 18:46, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Nowell Sing We Clear is the name of 1) the musical group, 2) the first album, and 3) the annual holiday tour. The article is (or will be) about all three. —MJBurrage(T•C) 21:30, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
