Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox looks good!
  • Add commas around the featuring part in the first sentence
  • This sentence should end with "from her second re-recorded album," and place the release year in brackets, as exact date is not notable for the lead
  • The title of the album has brackets so another pair of brackets for the release year would be confusing; the release date is also helpful to corroborate the release date in the infobox.
  • Cut the second sentence down after produced to "for the album." because the previous sentence will have mentioned the title
  • Mention in the first para that she wrote the song in March 2012
  • Remove the word understated since this is not notable here
  • Remove wikilinks on guitar
  • ""Nothing New" reached the" → "the song reached the"

Background and release

[edit]
  • Wikilink Phoebe Bridgers on the img text
  • Remove commas from around Red
  • The exact release date and media debate are not sourced
  • "her contract with the label granted her" → "the new contract granted her"
  • Pipe master recordings to Mastering (audio)
  • The exact release date of the Fearless re-recording is not sourced
  • Remove the comma before Red (Taylor's Version)
  • The vault having been written originally but not released on the album is not sourced
  • Wikilink Phoebe Bridgers

Music and lyrics

[edit]
  • The lyrical sentence should be the third one instead and Swift is not sourced as the writer
  • The folk genre is not sourced, plus you can add that the song is a ballad to that sentence per Pitchfork ref
  • It's in Slate ("the delicate folk duet")
  • Pipe chorus to Refrain
  • Remove wikilink on refrain
  • "contains the lyric," → "contains the line"
  • "herself describes the song: "[I]t's about" → "herself describes the song as "about"
  • "say that the song is" → "say that it is" to avoid overusage of "it"

Reception

[edit]
  • "lyrical capabilities (although Lipshutz" → "lyrical capabilities, although Lipshutz" since this is relevant enough to not warrant brackets
  • Lindsay Lozadz is not the correct name of the NYT writer
  • The New Yorker source does not mention the song
  • It does ("For 'Nothing New,' Swift invited the indie-rock darling Phoebe Bridgers to record with her. The song, a downcast acoustic track, sounds more of a piece with the folksy poeticism of Swift's latest albums, 'folklore' and 'evermore,' than with 'Red.' ") Maybe by the time you accessed to it your amount of free accesses had expired?
  • Last para looks good!

Personnel

[edit]
  • Retitle to Credits and personnel

Charts

[edit]
  • Good

Notes

[edit]
  • Good

References

[edit]
  • Copyvio score looks fabulous at 15.3%!!!
  • Refs 1 and ref 3 should have url-access limited added
  • Cite BBC News as publisher instead on ref 7
  • Why is Variety (magazine) not linked on ref 9 when it is elsewhere?
  • Cite CNET as publisher instead on ref 10
  • Cite Billboard as work/website instead on ref 14
  • Cite Uproxx as publisher instead on ref 15
  • Why does ref 25 have url-access limited?
  • Wikilink The New Yorker on ref 26 and add url-access limited

Final comments and verdict

[edit]
  • Ippantekina Thanks for the quick response; the only issues I still have are that while the release year probably isn't appropriate in brackets for the lead, the exact date needn't be used since it's already written in the body, sourcing the infobox. Also, you have forgotten to fix the Billboard citation on ref 14. --K. Peake 08:03, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
