Connection to Futurama?
[edit]I don't know why it's not listed ANYWHERE, but I'm skimming a copy of this I found... large portions of the end sequence ended up on the second episode of Futurama: 1x02 The Series Has Landed.

[edit]Dangerous Minds has an upload of the movie poster here, but what's the proper attribution if we want to use it for the wiki here?--DrWho42 (talk) 18:20, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
Unreleased?
[edit]Since I was one of the lucky few to see it in a movie theater in 1984 (Phoenix, Arizona) it rankles a bit to have it persistently described as "unreleased" without a qualifying statement. The author's own citation notes that MGM gave it a test run, before they decided against putting it in general release. I believe this fact should be noted. Perhaps someone might be interested in looking into how wide the test screening was. "Why Phoenix?" I often wondered. At any rate, the awareness of the film's existence and growing status as a cult item must owe much of its inception to this limited "release" rather than to the subsequent showings mentioned in the article. Incidentally, I can state that the movie was given a middling review in the local newspaper, The Arizona Republic, and that there were more than a few walk-outs during the showing I attended.Dchiapello (talk) 19:41, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
It also showed for one week in August or September 1984 at a theater in Grossmont Center, San Diego.2605:E000:90D4:5500:9EC:CC15:B5E5:86B5 (talk) 08:35, 29 January 2018 (UTC)anonymous
