<<This info is mostly incorrect. Less than 1/2 of these notch codes are correct. rob>> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.229.153.126 (talkcontribs) 05:07, 10 March 2007 UTC

Mostly incorrect? OK then, cite your sources.
All of the notch codes I found in Kodak's dead-tree documentation agree with what is here. A few of the films have been reformulated fairly recently, and the reformulated versions have different notch codes, particularly Tri-X and both T-Maxes. I have added the newest codes for them. — Wwagner 00:48, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Graphics

[edit]

The notch codes should really be done in graphics (preferably in SVG format), because these ascii graphics just don't quite make it. However, I'm not sure whether that would cause any copyright problems. Even if we were to draw our own versions (which, to get them in SVG format, we would have to), would the images be subject to copyright? — Wwagner 05:08, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Plus-X Professional notch code is incorrect on the page. The correct notch code is showing for a different film. I have many sheet film negs made with Plus-X Pan Professional.. Except for current production Kodak film (A tiny proportion of film notch-coded), this page is incorrect. Do Wikipedians know about Google? That valuable service turns up this authorative list (Appendix B) http://library.louisville.edu/library/ekstrom/special/AcetateNegativeSurvey.pdf You'll notice several hundred emulsions mapped to about a hundred notch codes, many being reused several times. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.42.179.14 (talk) 20:54, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
