I have failed this nomination mainly because the article does not have enough references to be a GA, especially as the demographics section has no references but lots of fatcs, see WP:WIAGA for guidance. The article does not seem to be broad in its coverage, for example it does not contain a history section. In terms of written quality it seems ok however there is no real flow. The prose jumps from section to section. Hope this advice helps to improve the article. - Suicidalhamster02:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are still not enough references, so as a fellow WikiProject Miami editor, I am going to keep you from wasting other editors time and fail this one again. You can have all the information in the world, but if you do not have references to back it up, it will fail every time.--Jorfer01:32, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The previous mayor, Josaphat Celestin, is of Haitian descent. (The current mayor does not have a Haitian name.) Haitians and persons of Haitian descent in the U.S. are generally included in the category 'black', or 'African-American'. -- Donald Albury16:59, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
