Spelling of North Holland
[edit]Hi there, I must say something about the title. It's not North Holland but North-Holland. Kawouter 23:10, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- This goes up for the dutch spelling only. -jelzo- 82.173.146.175 23:46, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Religion
[edit]I have to challange the stats on religion where it says that 10% of the population are protestants. I've lived in Noord-Holland for years and know for a fact that the VAST (>80%) of the Dutch are protestant!

- I agree. Those numbers should be removed unless there is a source to prove them. And where are the other 66%?! If there are a lot of people who do not adhere to any religion, it should be clarified somehow. 鬼佬 (talk) 18:17, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- the numbers are declining, most people don't know they're registered religious in government documentation "and you can't change that", till the 70's if people didn't state a religion they were just registered as being Dutch Reformed. so all the government numbers are completely irrelevant, but the majority of people in reality are atheist. Amendments
[edit]I've made a number of amendments to this article, including translating the history of North Holland from the Dutch site and transferring a few things from the page on Holland. Schildewaert (talk) 09:38, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
Mentioning organisations
[edit]The section North Holland#Organisations has some duplicate wording, plus it mentions Amnesty International as 'nature friendly'. Also it remains unclear why the mentioned organizations are the most worthy to mention. I'm placing cleanup section template for these reasons. --91.152.67.177 (talk) 06:53, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
- This section is indeed questionable at best. The organisations also have no connection to North Holland, but only with their host city. I would not object to removing it. CRwikiCA talk 13:35, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
