Coordinate error
[edit]{{geodata-check}}
The coordinates need the following fixes:
The map location is wrong. It's centred on Marlborough Mall, which is quite a distance east and south of Northhill. North Hill Centre is at:
51° 3'57.36"N
114° 5'56.61"W

Coordinates have been fixed by now. BrainMarble (talk) 02:35, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Parking blurb
[edit]ReleaseValve and BlackWidowNatasha, both first-time editors with no talk pages or subsequent edits, each added fundamentally similar blurbs complaining about the parking situation at the mall. I deleted both because of multiple issues. Breaking BlackWidowNatasha's blurb down line-by-line:
- "There is now strict parking guidelines in place"
Grammatical error -- "is" should be "are". Also, why "strict"? They're more lenient than the parking requirements at many other malls.
- "customers will need to pay parking fees to shop at North Hill Centre"
Not true -- only the easternmost third of the lot requires payment, per http://northhillcentre.com/directory/parking-map.
- "North Hill Centre states that they do not own the parking lot"
Source?
- "but do very little to inform their customers."
Subjective and highly debatable: there are signs in the parking lot and beside every entrance on the east end of the mall, plus the aforementioned information on their website. Also, grammatical error: "do" should be "does".
- "there are penalties of $65.00 and up."
Source?
Also, there's no reason to describe minutiae like the parking fees for a portion of the parking lot in an encyclopedia article, and even if there were, it wouldn't belong in the 1950s part of the History section.
Please include some explanation or justification before reinserting this blurb for the third time.

It was added again. Someone is very angry that they received a ticket.
- "If you want to shop at North Hill, be prepared to pay for parking. Worse yet, some unsuspected shoppers park their vehicles thinking it's free and end up getting a parking ticket. As of Dec 2017, the ticket is $65 for parking your car there. Idigo WestPark does not allow appeal so you either pay up or they increase the charge after 10 days with a threat to pull your personal information using your license plate and send collection agencies after you with legal actions."

- This is a much-belated comment, but just for the record the parking fee has been clearly marked since it was instituted because of SAIT, Jubilee Auditorium and C-Train users filling up the free parking. The fee only applies to parking around the former Sears, by the way; parking at the east end of the mall (basically anything from the covered parking, east) remains free. 136.159.160.121 (talk) 19:46, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
Error corrections
[edit]Some dates were incorrect regarding the bowling alley; corrected with source. Also added the original name of the mall. 136.159.160.121 (talk) 19:46, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
