June 2011 Re-Assessment
[edit]I am assessing this article after a request was made here.
This is the version being assessed
The proposer of this article Jazzfan1980 (talk · contribs) requested that this article be assessed against the B-Class criteria.
These are the B-Class criteria:
B |
|
I am not going to assess the article against the above criteria, as this article is clearly far below this standard, however here are my observations/suggestions for improvements:
- The article is not using an info-box. The current table is not visually appealing, is hard to edit/keep up to date, takes up a large amount of space in the edit window & is not consistent with the school article guidelines (WP:WPSCH/AG). My suggestion is to move the information over the standard school info-box {{Infobox_school}}.
- There should not be external links within an article, except in a dedicated section to the bottom of the page, or in an info-box.
- The administration section is redundant and in my opinion should be removed.
- The academic section should not list all the information about the schools academics, and should only list information that is different about the school, from what I can see it just follows the standard US curriculum. This section should also be presented as prose, rather than as a list.
- The words to the school song should be removed as per WP:WPSCH/AG.
- The history section is largely unreferenced, and could do with expansion. It is a key B-class criteria that all information must be suitably referenced (suitably can be interpreted many ways - in general it is accepted that all facts that might be challenged are referenced)
- The list of clubs and organisations should be removed, as all this information can be readily found on the school website here
I have therefore decided that this article is of Start-Class, Low importance.
There should be plenty to be getting on with in my comments above, if you would like any more help or guidance please leave a message on the general project talk page or on my talk page. Thanks GlanisTalk 17:06, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
