[edit]I am an employee of Santa Clara Valley Water District. I will not edit the article directly, in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest policy. In the following sentence, "2019" is redundant, and also incorrect. (The project was first proposed in 2017, was partially funded in 2018, the draft environmental impact report is expected by 2022, and construction is expected to begin in 2024.):
"In 2019, the Santa Clara Valley Water District, aka Valley Water, proposed in 2019 that the 100-foot earthen (North Fork) Pacheco Creek dam be replaced with a $1.1 billion dam that would increase reservoir capacity from 5,500 acre-feet to 140,000 acre feet, making it larger than Anderson Reservoir, currently the largest reservoir in Santa Clara County.[11]."
I have proposed an edit to the page for Pacheco Reservoir to provide additional details about the Pacheco Reservoir Expansion Project. I recommend linking this article to that one once the change (or a similar paragraph) has been added.
