Wrong name?
[edit]Unless I'm mistaken, the river described here is the "North Fork Middle Fork Willamette", a tributary of the "Middle Fork Willamette", which only becomes the Willamette River proper after the confluence with the "Coast Fork Willamette River". According to the USGS GNIS, there is no "North Fork Willamette River". But there is a "North Fork Middle Fork Willamette River", as described here.
Objections to moving the page to "North Fork Middle Fork Willamette River"? Pfly 18:55, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- You did your homework, so no objections, though "North Fork Middle Fork" sure sounds silly. But that's not your fault. :) Katr67 22:39, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, done. It is a fairly silly name, I agree -- but not the only one of its kind (such as my old favorite South Fork South Branch Potomac River). Next up, maybe some content for this page, beyond a single sentence! Pfly 05:25, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
