Is the north-east 'Tamil country'???
[edit]The opening paragraph reads ' the area (i.e.: northeastern province) is known as sri lanka's Tamil Country ' and gives a BBC citation. The BBC citation states 'A trip to Sri Lanka's Tamil country - A sudden phone call gave the BBC's Sri Lanka correspondent Charles Haviland rare access to the the war-battered north of the island... ' which implies that the BBC writer referred to the 'north' of Sri Lanka as 'tamil country'. No-where in the article does it refer to the 'eastern province' or the 'northeastern' combined province as tamil country.
So the statement in the opening paragraph lacks a credible citation. Please provide a credible citation (pref BBC or UN report) that the northeastern province of Sri Lanka was referred to as 'tamil country' or it will removed.
