Have found no information about the financial terms of the 1936 lease, or if it was renewed for the next 35 years or so...

Nothing about what happened to the lease during Penn Central. Can't search ICC filings online, so no info about when freight service was withdrawn, and no info about when or who pulled up the tracks. From what little I can find online I doubt this line made it into the Conrail era. Most leases got rolled up as part of the bankruptcy of the Penn Central. Obviously not in this case.

Cannot confirm claims that the railroad has paid their property tax in East Brookfield, or that the corporate shell has kept up on it's filings with the Secretary of the Commonwealth (or if that is required). The board of selectmen acts as the board of directors for the railroad shell; cannot find any public records of meetings. Perhaps as a corporation they are not public meetings.CommanderMcBragg (talk) 01:35, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
