Patent nonsense
[edit]The creating editor has a very short grip on English - and in its current form the article is patent nonsense - I would encourage anyone with patience or very good knowledge of Indonesia to help the editor - I certainly feel such a contribution borders on nuisance level - and I will not tag this for the Indonesian project.
Indonesian project translation is discouraged on the basis that most material comes with no WP:RS and as a consequence is rendered invalid with WP:V issues arising SatuSuro 00:13, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]The North Coast Road is the modern name for what was formerly known as the Great Post Road. Merging the latter into the formal will combine the historical background and the current road into one article. Davidelit (talk) 07:57, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Support - self evident merge in need of doing SatuSuro 12:04, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Y4n (talk) 07:07, 20 September 2010 (UTC) pardon me, If I don't wrong, Great Post Road is better written in a new article, because Great Post Road has some difference with North Coast Road (Java). I really suggested that North Coast Road (Java) is included with Nasional 1 article, according to Mudik Lebaran Map 17th edition released by POLRI, Department of Transportation of Indonesia, Department of National Projects, and JASAMARGA. Nasional 1 straddles from Merak, Cilegon to Ketapang, Banyuwangi (so it comprises all part of North Coast Road (Java) itself). Anyone could write about Great Post Road in Nasional 1, however, but in "History" part.
- I concur with separation idea and totally against merger. The Great Post Road is not identical with today North Coast Road (Java), The Great Post Road (De Groote Postweg) have historical nouance and significance and extend from Anyer-Panarukan through Priangan (Preanger) highland (Buitenzorg, Cianjur, Bandung, Sumedang), while present Pantura (North Coast road) span from Merak to Banyuwangi via northern West Java (Bekasi, Karawang, Cikampek, Pamanukan), and it also consists of modern toll highways. It is a different entity. I suggest to split this two entity (Gunkarta (talk) 14:23, 14 November 2010 (UTC)).
Articles separated (Gunkarta (talk) 15:27, 14 November 2010 (UTC))
Another merger proposal
[edit]While maybe merger proposal between Great Post Road and this article is not accepted, but similar with what User:Y4n wrote, I would suggest to merge this article with Indonesian National Route 1 as both are referring to the exactly same road route. KIDE777✉ 16:20, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
