Resolved comments from Tbhotch
;Infobox
Lead
  • vocalist/pianist -> MOS:SLASH.
  • "Los Angeles, California, further tracking was done at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica, California."
  • on a headlining US tour -> the United States, as this is the first use.
  • "as a single" -> "as the second single".
  • Link vinyl to vinyl record (I assume it will be moved there).
Background
  • "After finalising" -> American band.
  • "Drive-Thru Records.[2] Drive-Thru Records".
  • "between Drive-Thru and MCA Records." -> between both (record) labels avoid redundancies.
  • UMG -> Universal Music Group.
  • "In mid-2003, MCA Records was absorbed by UMG label Geffen Records" -> Did this happen when they were already recording or that happened before (or after)? If this happened before recording it is background, if this while or after recording it is not background.
  • Two problems with the section. The first one is that it's just a paragraph, so merging it or expanding it is the most appropriate thing to do (problably with the section below). The second one is the labels information. If someone is not paying enough attention, they can get lost so easily "They started with Company A, but Company B had a distribution deal with A, later A was bought by Company C, etc."
Composition
  • "vocalist/pianist" -> same as lead.
  • "studio. [1]" -> there is an extra space there.
  • I read more about writing than composition in a section titled "Composition". This, this or this are Composition section. Also, the "While touring Europe, the US went to war in Iraq" information appears to be background: "This section should discuss previous occasions in the artist's history and important events that had an impact on the album."
  • "Rather than an ode to the final frontier, "Space," with a chugging guitar line delicately flavored by McMahon's piano, is concerned with personal space, the kind a band that spends most of its time together in a touring van doesn't often have the luxury to enjoy"[1]. That belongs here. I assumed there was no information about the themes, lyrics, and/or composition etc. but there it is.
Production
  • "Production" -> "Recording and production" as the section is about both.
  • On May 5, -> I know it is 2003, but clarify it.
  • "Robert Lang Studios/TMF" -> Is the studio named this way, or are two studios? Because AllMusic says they are two studios. If so, MOS:SLASH applies (the same applies for the infobox).
  • "everything [was] finished and that we didn't forget anything." -> "everything [was] finished and that [they] didn't forget anything." You said "the band went..."
Release
  • "Release" -> "Release and promotion" as the section covers both.
  • "From mid-July to early September," -> The source says "Something Corporate will accompany 311 from the start, through an Aug. 29 date in Denver."
  • "and released to radio" -> "and released to modern rock radio"
  • "The video, directed by Mike Piscitelli, was filmed in August" -> Unnecessary passive voice.
  • "October 21[19] through Geffen and Drive-Thru Records." -> "October 21 through Geffen and Drive-Thru Records.[19]
  • The UK version -> The United Kingdom
  • "The UK version of the album included "Watch the Sky" and a cover of Bjork's "Unravel" as bonus tracks.[20]" -> Not in the source.
  • programmes -> American band.
Critical response
Commercial performance and legacy
  • What Culture ranked it at number 13 -> "What Culture ranked North at number 13". By "it" you might be talking about the vinyl.
Track listing
  • "Track listing Track listing per booklet"
  • Bonus tracks are unsourced as 9861202 is the code for the standard edition.
Personnel
  • "Personnel per booklet" -> "Credits and personnel adapted from the album's liner notes."
  • Clutch -> Kevin "Clutch" Page
