2005 or 1987 - is this the film in question?

[edit]

According to this IMDB entry, the film The Curse was directed by David Keith in 1987, not 2005. Also, the plot described there seems to be different from the one in the WP article: "In this second adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's story "The Colour out of Space," a huge, glowing meteorite falls on a farm in Tellico Plains, Tennesse. After the meteorite melts into the soil, strange mutations occur on the farm. The fruit and livestock become filled with maggots, cabbage and chickens become filled with green slime, and certain members of the farm family become swollen, slime-drooling mutants. Now two of the farmer's children who wisely avoided the meteorite's contamination seek outside help." This article may be either entirely wrong, or referring to another movie, different from the one directed by David Keith.--Eric Yurken (talk) 14:44, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title move

[edit]

It has received an official US release via Shudder who are calling it 'Noroi: The Curse' so I renamed the article as such. Frankly it's always been referred to as 'Noroi' over just 'The Curse' by itself but as an official American release I figure now is as good as time as any to change the article.--CyberGhostface (talk) 19:08, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Release date in the U.S.?

[edit]

I don't know if we need to add a citation or whatnot, but I believe it was added to US Shudder in 2019, as I distinctly remember seeing it then and having a letterboxd log from that time, not 2020. CVance1 (talk) 16:01, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
