[edit]Hi, I am in a University class and part of my assignment is to review this article and provide an evaluation including three questions. Here is my evaluation:1.Is the article neutral? Are there any claims, or frames, that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?
Yes, this article proceeded in a very neutral position. No biased opinions were made towards any of the team mentioned in the article such as, the Detroit Red Wings, or the Atlanta Thrashers. The only claims that were made in this article were condensed information from reliable sources.
2.Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference?
No, every fact is no referenced with an appropriate reliable reference. As noted in the article there are multiple pieces of information that require a citation, as the information is closed by "citation needed" in brackets. Other than the information that is already noted, citations are needed for other pieces of information as well, such as some statistics. For example, the article states "Maracle finished the season with a 4–19–2 record and a save percentage under 90%," this information needs a citation so the readers can follow where the information is coming from and to determine if is it coming from an appropriate reliable source.
3.Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?
Yes, everything in the article is relevant to the topic as it relates to Norm Maracle. The article consists of Maracle's hockey career, junior and professional, under 3 different headings; Detroit, Atlanta, Europe. The article includes a Table of Career Statistics which is a well done visual to increase the interest of the readers. The only thing about the article that distracted me was the Personal Life subheading, and that fact there there is so little information regarding Maracle's life before hockey. Including more information about Maracle's personal life would be a great improvement to the article.
This article is very well written, I enjoyed reading it! Angelgreen14 (talk) 02:05, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
