Nonprofit Studies vs. Nonprofit Management
[edit]My original intent of this page was to focus research-based discipline of nonprofit studies, as opposed to practitioner-based nonprofit management resources. For example, while The NonProfit Times and The Chronicle of Philanthropy are valuable resources for practitioners in the nonprofit sector and they may report on research about the nonprofit sector, they are not based on the scholarly study of the nonprofit sector. I think nonprofit management could merit its own wiki to include nonprofit management resources such as the ones listed above. --Trina Isakson (talk) 07:06, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Peer Review NNGO350
[edit]Its probably clear but there definitely needs to be something under the "Research" heading. This information could totally come from other connected pages like higher ed degrees related to nonprofits etc. Also though I know it would be hard to systematically find all nonprofit studies programs, but I do know that there are more than just IU and NIU Like University of Minnesota etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mason Astill (talk • contribs) 15:45, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
I agree that if there is a heading, there should be information attached to it. If there is nothing to contribute under this heading, there is no point in the section even being there at all. I also think that there could be a little bit more background on the history of nonprofit studies as an academic discipline. This whole page just seems pretty empty and is lacking the necessary descriptions behind certain terms and links that make them relevant to the topic. Lsfujiu (talk) 03:08, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Article Review NNGO 350
[edit]There are plenty of information but I would like to suggest maybe a history/background section, as to why or how did this type of study come about. In the second sentence of the first paragraph that names sub-areas of research, a " : " between "including" and "administration" would work to make it a list instead of a long sentence. I found that it is for the best that there are no pictures in this article since most available pictures either show a certain college, study report, or lacks fully representation for "nonprofit studies". I would like to suggest that the main bullet points under "Teaching and Learning" can be set to bold to differentiate it from its sub-bullets. The section of "Centers and Institutes" seems to be well done at covering worldwide places. In the "Academic Degree Programs" section, it seems more information is place on the U.S.(Illinois and Indiana) portion and not so such on the other countries; if there is going to be in-depth information, do it for all or none. There are many hyper-links under "Centers and Institutes" that are either outdated or "Not Found"; these can either be updated, marked as "dead link", or take the hyper-link away. The hyper-link for the Nenshi PDF in "References" displays the same "Not Found/404" page. I would suggest to look over the hyper-links throughout the pages to find any other problems.--Sinumi (talk) 16:21, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
Merge proposal

- Support. Master of Nonprofit Organizations seems like too niche a subject to stand on its own. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 16:17, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 16:57, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
