The name of this article
[edit]Does anybody really call these cards "Editorial" trading cards? The term I always see is "non-sports". Any opinions on re-titling this article? I'd like to get a consensus, because this article has already been retitled once. ike9898 13:34, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was confused about that title, too. I'd never heard that term before I got to Wikipedia. (Not claiming it doesn't exist, just saying I had never seen anyone actually use it.) I definitely support moving the page to the more familiar "non-sports card." Zagalejo 04:15, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- Me too. Any opposition to retitling this Non-sports trading cards? FactsAndFigures 15:27, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like the article already exists, and was redirected to this title. I think we should reverse it (and will do it after a discussion period, unless convincing arguement is made against it). FactsAndFigures 15:32, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, after allowing adequate time for comment (9 months) I renaming this page,,,,ike9898 05:52, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Trading card series
[edit]I think the list of Trading card series should be refined to some examples, since the list will never be complete. Ponch's Disco 20:19, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Can anyone please put up a few pictures
[edit]Reading is fun and all that but there is reason why photography was invented. Ebaychatter0 (talk) 03:11, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Anyone uploading a picture should understand copyright law, and "fair use", as it applies to Wikipedia. Maproom (talk) 07:48, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- oh forgot that. Read here, look up pictures else where Ebaychatter0 (talk) 16:56, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Sketch Cards
[edit]If you want to post to this section please verify the accuracy of what you add. Also do not self promote (causing a conflict of interest). Several times Clubhouse Diam ==onds series 2 has been added to this article without verifiable facts by a person claiming to have created the genre. Investigation both online and through contact with the original company does indeed prove that the series was released in 1994 and sketch cards were NOT a part of the series. If the information given was incorrect then by all means cite factual information and disprove this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FactualFix (talk • contribs) 12:16, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
A global phenomenon
[edit]This article doesn't mention the cereal and tea makers' "swap cards" popular in Australia and the UK during the middle third of the twentieth century, whose subjects included birds, fish, native animals and footballers; all kinds of wildlife! - Yo Yo
