Nomenclator is mentioned in Wikipeida: Substitution / Homophonic Ciphers in the Classical Cryptography section. I made a reference to it regarding Sir Francis Walsingham in expanding a stub on Grille Cryptography and the Cardan Grille. It needs a longer article as the Nomenclator was preferred by diplomats for centuries and there are several surviving examples. --Steve 06:18, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
