This dude is misusing Noida and other wiki pages
This guy has posted a link to his own blog "Straight Outta Noida (blog)"
If you read his blog, he also has talked about abusing Wiki. I am sure he's doing it in the best interests of wiki (as he points out in his blog). But dude, there are better ways to experiment.
Can this user be tagged as mischief maker? Does someone actually read these comments?
NOIDA Vs Noida
I made use of NOIDA consitent throughout the article. NOIDA is a short form hence it must have all capital letters. Also added internal links to adobe systems, CSC etc. --seXie(t0lk) 09:41, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree, and think that this article should be moved to Noida. Even the official website is inconsistent, but eg. street signage and the official "noida" logo use it as a word, and it's always pronounced "Noida", not "N.O.I.D.A.". Jpatokal 13:16, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
WIkify
I am of the opinion that is not a very classy article. I see the use of peacock terms, personal opinion, and a host of other things not consistent with wiki guidelines.
for example : "The locals jokingly refer to the Authority as "No idea" due to the daily 3-6 hour load shedding (scheduled power outages), water shortages and pollution."
which could be worded in a more formal manner.
I guess it would benefit the article if the indian cities workgroup which apparantly maintains this article, was to clean it up. Vijeth 09:38, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Location of Noida
From the map accompanying the article it appears that Noida is located in Haryana state. Actually it's in Uttar Pradesh state, immediately adjacent to Delhi. Could someone correct this? (I don't know how). Alfons Åberg 20:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Also the zoom is not working properly - it should be at the state level instead of country level.

Should we add information on Nithari case here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Inder315 (talk • contribs) 05:59, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

The tallest building project
I added some information about the 2005 tallest building project. In particular I wanted to mention about who was the architect who submitted the proposal for this building. I also wanted to compare this project with the currently tallest building in Taiwan. Encycloenvy (talk) 01:23, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

- NOIDA → Noida — The current page name is a bit of an anomaly, Nodia started off as an acronym for New Okhla Industrial Development Area (NOIDA), however it is now referred to as "Noida". All the refs refer to it as Noida. Also see Noida Film City, Greater Noida and 2006 Noida serial murder investigation. Also note Wikipedia has an article on Soweto not SoWeTo. Edited
I tried to make the article easier to understand by removing stuff that didn't belong in sections, and rewriting headers and stuff. Heyhey Hey (talk) 21:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Article Quality
As this article seems to have been forgotten, I'm compiling some information and will be making minor edits (cleaning up the language and adding references) over the next few days to improve the quality of this article. Once that is done it would be nice if we can discuss what content needs to be added/removed to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. My goal is to have this article reviewed as being either GA or B quality (it is currently C - which is pretty poor for an important centre like Noida). I have also modified SVG maps of India to show districts individually. I'll try and get that going for Noida but if it works we can probably use the files to provide a more local 'red dot' map for all Indian towns/cities. Location in lead
Can the location be put in the first sentence of the lead please?
Something like, "Noida is a city in the Uttar Pradesh State of India" should be the very first sentence. Details and trivia can come later. Thanks. 205.228.108.185 (talk) 02:28, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
!
Hi everyone!
I've previously made some attempts to clean up this article, but I think I'm going to take this on seriously till we can make this a GA quality page. It's actually 'pathetic' right now with no respect to any of Wikipedia's guidelines. I'll start soon(in a few days), so I hope everyone can co-operate and collaborate!'Go NOIDA! Controversies ????
It happens across the globe is there any need of adding it on noida page .
Noida is a key revenue contributor to the UP state government. Also it has proximity to the capital of the country New Delhi. For such reasons, Noida's local administration has always suffered from excessive interference from the UP state government.
In particular the Mayawati government and earlier the mulayam Singh government have been known to engage excessively in the local administration of Noida.
