[edit]

I suggest this article be renamed No. 207 Squadron RAF - I have never seen it being referred to by its Roman numerals before - both the official RAF website and the Squadron Association website use "207". Letdorf (talk) 10:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC).[reply]

I've now done this. Letdorf (talk) 11:44, 29 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Squadron Bases table, and images

[edit]

This table contains a staggering 42 entries, many of which were only short duration. Indeed four entries are left partially blank and appear to cover the refuelling points and overnight stop-overs somewhere en-route between the UK and a deployment in Turkey, or Sudan. I'm not sure that this table, cluttered with trivial entries, is of any real benefit to readers as it stands.

And then there are the two images, originally placed alongside the table, limiting it's width and forcing most entries to occupy two lines, making the table stretch on forever. I have temporarily moved the images beyond the table to limit the damage they are doing to the layout of the article. One image is of a memorial at RAF Spilsby. The second image is of one of the many locations 207 sqdn have visited. It's not a particularly good image, but at least 207 spent more than just a few weeks there. Even so, it is just a random choice and does not improve the article IMO. And the caption should be edited to state 'RAF Langar', not 'Langar airfield'.

Overall, I see a lot of dead wood here that should be removed, or cut back in some way. WendlingCrusader (talk) 14:36, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
