[edit]The term "Nitron" is also used as a trade name for a metal finish, for example by SIGARMS as applied to some of their pistols. A google search also reveals that it, or another finish referred to as nitron is sometimes used on drum kits. http://www.tecvac.com/Coatings/Nitron.asp seem to claim invention of a hard coating process using the name.
In any case, while there is no article on any of these alternate uses, a disambiguation mentioning them might be in order, lest the impression be given that these pistols and drums are somehow coated in nitrogen...
