We have two articles about the same park. One using the English name Nisga'a Memorial Lava Beds Provincial Park, the other using the Nisga'a name Anhluut'ukwsim Laxmihl Angwinga'asanskwhI Nisga'a Provincial Park. Obviously, we only need one article. Any thoughts on which naming convention should be followed for the article and which should be redirected. Canuckle 02:26, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I get a google hit of 523 on the former and 101 on the latter... if that helps. Both seem to be its offical name, so for simplicity's sake, I'm tempted to suggest using the shorter title.CindyBotalk 06:24, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think the Anhluut'ukwsim Laxmihl Angwinga'asanskwhI Nisga'a Provincial Park should be merged into this article because most people would probably search for the English name and has a shorter title. Also, when I made this artcle, I didn't see any other name except the one for the title. Black Tusk 12:24, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title of the Article

[edit]

The name of the park is actually Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Provincial Park not Lava Beds as it now states. I changed it in the text, not sure how / if I can change the name of the article as a whole though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.213.25 (talk) 06:52, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is spelt in both ways. BT (talk) 08:35, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've never seen the Lava Beds variation, Google Maps calls it Lava Bed, and both links on the actual page (BC Geographical and the BC Government page) also use the singular. So maybe Wikipedia should go with that and also use the singular as the standard and - if you wish - mention the plural as a variation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.213.25 (talk) 23:57, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
