- @Ripapart: When you say Telugu politicians/people, it means the language is their mother tongue. In her case, it clearly isn't: [1]. As for her being elected from AP, we have two categories: Category:Women in Andhra Pradesh politics and Category:Rajya Sabha members from Andhra Pradesh. Stop pushing your POV. —Vensatry (talk) 19:42, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Comment - per WP:CATV, "It should be clear from verifiable information in the article why it was placed in each of its categories." If there is no content in the article establishing the person as being of Telugu ethnicity or whatever the contentious material is, then the categories should not be added. Content first, cats second. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:55, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb So have we established that the categories of Category:Rajya Sabha members from Andhra Pradesh and Category:Rajya Sabha members from Karnataka are to stay on the page? @Vensatry, I request you to assume goodfaith, I have started this discussion on talk page only to resolve differences in opinion, if you think I have pushed POV, please look at your editing aswell, so did you indulge in POV pushing, by deleting the two categories out of the four, listed above. Ripapart (talk) 04:16, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Of course, that's an established fact. Before you talk about WP:AGF, I suggest you please consider WP:DTR. —Vensatry (talk) 08:09, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Vandalism in article. please revert it.
Please delete the following
Sitharaman is India's second female defence minister who became shame to defence ministry through infamous rafale deal and armtwisting money making tactics she employs. She doesn’t have any qualifications to become defence and commerce ministers of India as she is neither a popular person in Indian diaspora or never even own a single elections in Indian democracy. She is not even a well know economist, looks like just an ordinary house wife who used to give few speeches in her free time. She is became defaming face of RSS in BJPs present Indian government. Her inefficient governance and acts as Indian Defence minister is going to effect India for generations. 106.51.67.207 (talk) 09:42, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Dubious claims regarding tenure as Finance Minister
[edit]In the section regarding her tenure as the finance minister, the following line is present:
"and the GDP of the country was said to have seen massive growth positively with historical context."
The reference to the line is: https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/mumbai/tax-upliftment-poor-backward-nirmala-sitharaman-modi-govt-9th-anniversary-8634687/ which consists of claims made during a political conference. The claims are made by the subject themselves regarding their performance, which can't be taken as an objective measure of their economic performance.
The other reference links to a WEF article(https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/09/india-uk-fifth-largest-economy-world/), which talks about India rising to the 5th position in terms of GDP growth, but it does not back up the claim made in the sentence referenced above.
The sentence should either be removed (as it is inaccurate and the reference doesn't indicate they made the said claim themselves) or should be at the minimum, be affixed with a suitable disclaimer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The shear stress of it all (talk • contribs) 04:58, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
