Notability of appearance on Dragon's Den
[edit]The following section seems like it is not particularly important. Should it be removed? I wasn't sure whether Barkat's appearance on the show had any influence on hiselection as mayor of Jerusalem in 2008.
"In 2007, Barkat took part in the Israeli version of Dragons' Den, the venture-capitalist television program, which consists of entrepreneurs pitching their ideas in order to secure investment from business experts." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.252.4.21 (talk) 05:18, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
A Major coalition recruit of Mayor Nir Barkat calls upon Arabs to leave Jerusalem
[edit]Aryeh King, an extreme right wing member of the Jerusalem Council who became famous for his fight to "Judaize" Jerusalem (a third of the population of Jerusalem is Muslim) is now distributing fliers calling upon Arabs to leave the city to Jews because this city belongs to the Jews alone, from biblical times. Mayor Nir Barkat has not responded officially to the hatred actions of the person he recruited to the council[1]רסטיניאק (talk) 06:23, 17 January 2014 (UTC)רסטיניאק
NPOV
[edit]The first paragraphs are clearly not neutral. There is no general agreement with the statement as if he improved opportunities for Palestinian residents of Jerusalem. Actually he is a very disputed figure, and one of the leading mayors in home demolitions. The Wiki page should not look like part of Mr Barkat's campaign... See for instance Raviv Drocker https://www.haaretz.co.il/opinions/.premium-1.2917795 (one of many examples). Best regards from Jerusalem. 109.64.131.226 (talk) 15:14, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Wipe out Iran comments
[edit]Please stop scrubbing the comments that he made about wiping Iran out.
This is the second time that someone has removed it.
