Australian edition

I added an infobox to the page, however all of the details - including the cover, publisher, number of pages and possibly ISBN (not sure) - are based on the Australian Allen & Unwin edition. Since the book is American, I was wondering whether someone might be able to re-fill in the details from the American edition? Thanks. 97198 ^talk•_contribs 07:21, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I could edit the information, as I have the information, but I do not know the approach that I should take when editing this. Should I add the information for the US version above the austrailian version, or start the infobox over and just contain the US version information? Literary Significance and Criticism?

Confusing opening

I'm confused -- "It was her first book to debut at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list." Has she had a second (third, fourth...) book to debut in that spot? Already? Or is that just a clumsy way to say "It debuted at #1 etc" ? Or is it simply extreme, and npov, optimism?

"It was her first book to debut at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list." is a fact. No more or less. I don't know when this was asked, but as yet there is at least a second book to debut at #1: Handle with care (2009). Change of Heart (2008) also reached #1, but I'm not sure if it was the debut or not. A black eyed (talk) 14:56, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I could not find the original statement from Jodi's website, but I did find a website quoting the statement that she posted on her website.

In wake of the shooting, Jodi Picoult released this statement on her website.

"As a parent, my deepest sympathy goes out to the victims and families of the Virginia Tech community. Although shootings on college campuses are often motivated by different factors than the ones I researched for high school shootings in Nineteen Minutes, any time something like this happens it is tragic and raises questions. However, the one we should be asking right now is: How can we help this community heal?"

Incomplete sentence?

" Rocky Mountain News agreed, stating that while the beginning shooting scene makes it 'painfully clear who the victims and killer are. As the novel unfolds, Picoult succeeds in lifting those assumptions up for scrutiny, until villains and victims seem to blend into a motley jumble of alliances and rejection.'" The phrase "that while . . . " needs a contrast.
