Are Motacillidae nine-primaried oscines?

The Motacillidae were in Wallace's original description based on their morphology. Like Fringillidae and the Emberizoidea families they have two c-myc insertions and were part of the two insertion group studied by Hall (2005). In the Oliveros et al (2019) phylogeny, they are sister to the Fringillidae+Emberizoidea, making them part of a nine-primaried oscine clade. —  Jts1882 | talk  09:41, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
