Birth date

We say December 31 [O.S. December 24] 1820. There is no way both of these dates are correct. The Julian and Gregorian calendars were 12 days apart in 1820, not 7 days. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 08:53, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now it's 24 December/12 January – that's a 19-day gap. We need a 12-day gap here. Nothing else will satisfy the unavoidable fact that the Julian and Gregorian calendars were 12 days apart during this person’s lifetime. -- Jack of Oz ^{[your turn]} 02:42, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Romanization
