1) Currently the following is on the page: Orchestra: Il Novecento (since 1991) I would like to remark that the Orchestra has changed his name in 2016 to Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra. Sources: https://www.antwerpphilharmonicorchestra.be & http://www.notp.com/belgie/?portfolio=a-p-o

2) I would like to add some artists to the list below because not every artist who was on stage in 2017 is mentioned All artists for 2017: Joss Stone, Melanie C, Emily Bear, Thomas Vanderveken, John Miles, Isabelle A, Gers Pardoel (surprise act), Johannes Genard, Blanche.  Done John Miles, John Stone and Emily Bear were already on the list. Gers Pardoel was left off of the list, as their participation could not be confirmed with the references provided. (This was confirmed, and his name was also added.) The two orchestra's different names at different times were noted in the text. Regards,  Spintendo      14:03, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request update extra information

[edit]

1) I would like to notice that some information is incorrect on the page. Currently it says: "Though its inclusion of large portions of pop music - in order to appeal to a wider audience - does not match its British counterpart and originator, it shares other elements, such as the tradition of ending the performance with British patriotic song Land of Hope and Glory." The last part of the sentence is incorrect.

I would suggest the following: "Though its inclusion of large portions of pop music - in order to appeal to a wider audience - does not match its British counterpart and originator, it shares other elements, such as the tradition of ending the performance with British patriotic song Land of Hope and Glory until 1990. From 1991 all artists showed up at the end of the show and sang a song all together, which was mostly a Beatles-song. Since then the last song varies every year. Popular songs such as Uptown Funk (Bruno Mars), Sky full of stars (Coldplay), Can’t Stop The Feeling (Justin Timberlake) and Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics) were performed as final songs to end the show."

Source: https://borgerhoff-lamberigts.be/boeken/night-of-the-proms (in this book all the correct information can be found)

On page 44: the playlists says 'Land of Hope and Glory' was the final song. On the following pages the playlists of other years can be found which shows that thing song isn't the final song anymore. The book goes until 2011. For later sources i would like to refer to the music videos below which proofs what was the final song of that show. For example on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1rQPmTYz3c you can see that Uptown Funk from Burno Mars was the last song performed by all the artists.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1rQPmTYz3c the final song was uptown Funk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90U7WOzt1Ic the final song was Sweet dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL5ptOaFuH8 the final song was Sky full of stars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUFWMCIoePM the final song was can't stop the feeling http://notpfan.eu/nl/homepage/concert-playlists on this site all the playlists can be found so it proofs that Land of Hope and Glory isn't the last song of the show anymore

2) Currently on the page: "PSE co-operates with local promoters (Mojo in the Netherlands, Dirk Hohmeyer in Germany, Niels Estrup in Scandinavia, Paul Emery in the United States, Music Events Poland, etc.)"

I would like to make a remark that Paul Emery needs to be deleted from the list because he doesn't collaborate anymore with the organization. Sources: http://emeryentertainment.com/?s=night+of+the+proms

3) I would like to add the artists of 2016 in the list: Time for Three, Laura Tesoro, Chaka Khan, Gabriel Rios, Simple minds, Tom Chaplin, Natasha Bedingfield, Ronan Keating, Sources: http://www.notp.com/nederland/2016/08/10/voorproefje/ https://www.teleticketservice.com/tickets/2016-2017/night-of-the-proms/20161105-2030.html https://www.een.be/een/night-of-the-proms-2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW5CiNdMx40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myByABbpJHo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj_R8Zl65FM https://atv.be/nieuws/deze-topnamen-op-de-night-of-the-proms

4) if it is possible i would like to add the following graph. On this image all the shows are visible from the past years.

On the graphic all the shows of Night of the Proms from the past are visible. On the left side all the countries were Night of the Proms took place are visible. The colored lines show from and until what year Night of the Proms took place in which country. I hope it's clear what i mean. Many thanks!

Update 11-APR-2018

[edit]
  1. The tradition of ending the show using a British patriotic song has been updated to note that this tradition ended in 2011, and that since then, the songs have varied. The book source for this information was added as the reference.
  2. The png file has been added to the article.

Dear Spintendo

Many thanks for the update. There is only one issue. The final song was until 1991 'Land of Hope and Glory'. You wrote it was until 2011 the final song but that is incorrect. On page 44 of the book i referred to the playlist of 1991 where you can see that the song was the last time. On the following pages the playlist shows that an other song was the closing song of the show. The book was published in 2011 therefore there are only playlists until 2011. For the other songs i mentioned i like to refer to the youtube video's which proofs that these songs were the closing songs. On setlist.fm the playlists are also visible. Thank you to change the date from 2011 to 1991. Kind regards Shalini PSE (talk) 15:32, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
